Inspire Destination Marketing was founded in 2007 by Libby Severance, travel industry veteran with more than 15 years of experience. Fusing her passion for travel with her knowledge of sales, marketing and product training, Libby currently represents seven of the world’s finest travel providers – and the portfolio continues to grow.
Having worked for companies such as American Airlines, Lindblad Expeditions and Virtuoso (a luxury travel consortia), Libby specializes in sales, marketing and agent training for destinations all over the world.
Before starting Inspire, Libby filled the role of Director of Training Services at Virtuoso. Running the training program at Virtuoso allowed Libby to work closely with travel suppliers, agency management and frontline agents to increase sales for everyone involved. Because of this work, Libby established several key relationships within the luxury travel market, which she utilizes in her current role.
Having traveled to almost 50 countries, Libby counts among her most memorable travel experiences: an elephant ride by torch light in India, watching the sunrise over Angkor Wat in Cambodia, ballooning over Cappadochia in Turkey seeing the "fairy chimneys" from a birds-eye view and rowing a round basket boat in Vietnam – but none that match watching her son take his first "official" steps in the Four Seasons overlooking the Sydney Opera House. “We traveled half way around the world for this experience and we still talk about it years later,” Libby says.
